Welcome. I am the Maxwell Advisory Board Professor of International Affairs at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council's GeoEconomics Center. I was a 2022-23 Wilson China Fellow. I work within the field of international political economy specializing in finance. Most of my work explores financial sanctions, the dynamics of international currency competition, and financial crisis management, with an emphasis on the United States and China in these arenas.
My second book, Bucking the Buck: US Financial Sanctions and the International Backlash Against the Dollar is now out.
For details about my new book, first book, other peer-reviewed research, teaching, commentary, speaking engagements, media and podcast appearances, check out the tabs above.
